MAPLEWOOD - Brenda J. Baker, 66, of Maplewood, passed away at 5:05 p.m. on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on November 15, 1958, to the late Dr. Richard L. "Doc" and Clarbel "Clair" (Jackson) Schilling. On November 11, 1978, she married Jerry R. Baker, and he survives.
Brenda is also survived by her sons, Luke (Sarah) Baker of Troy, and Adam (Devina) Baker of Hilliard; a grandson, Mason Baker; sister, Jennie Schilling of South Dakota; brother, Rick Schilling of Lewistown; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her infant sister, Beth Ann Schilling, and brother, Rodney Schilling.
Brenda was an active member of Maplewood Methodist Church, led a women's bible study, and valued her "Coffee Chat" friends. Known for her curiosity and adventurous spirit, she enjoyed flea markets, baking, and community involvement. She will be missed by many.
A memorial service will be conducted by Pastor Joe Fox at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Maplewood Methodist Church, located at 21544 Maplewood Rd., Maplewood. Visitation is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the church. Inurnment will take place following the service at Fairview Cemetery in Quincy.
