I work at Palmers in Darien Ct. And Mr Bliss was one of my customers. We started talking about his dog Tucker who he loved more than anything. I have known him for 7 years since I had been at Palmers he was always so nice to me always asking how my day was and how my daughter was doing in softball. He was one of those customers who wasn´t just a customer he was a friend. Really going to miss him coming into the store and going out and petting Tucker. I hope that he is at peace now. He was really such a great person.

I am very sad to learn that Sandy is not longer with us. He will be missed and I have fond memories of him. My deepest condolences go to his family and friends. I met Sandy and his Vizsla when I first moved to Stamford we lived in the same condominium. I was a new nurse just starting out and he always was willing to listen to my work and personal up and downs. We shared several laughs over the years and likely I cried a bit too. My roommate and I had a a rather large Christmas party one year with all the residents, nurses and hospital staff. Rumor had it the days following that we had a photographer at the party. It was Sandy! He loved to take photos with this rather old fashioned camera that took great photos. He was a true gentleman when it came to manners with women. He would rise from a table and wait for them to be seated (a lost art in today's world). He was a very good friend to me at the time. Unfortunately we lost touch aside from annual Christmas cards, however I remember him fondly and the memories bring a smile to my face. I will keep him and his family in my prayers.
