William ("Bill") Andrew Seth, Jr., 84, of Centreville, Maryland, passed away on July 9, 2025. Born on December 1, 1940, in Wilmington, Delaware, Bill was the son of William Andrew Seth, Sr. and Dorothy Decker Seth.

Bill's life was shaped by a deep commitment to learning and public service. He graduated from Archmere Academy and went on to earn a bachelor's degree from the University of Mississippi. He later received master's degrees from both the University of Georgia and Johns Hopkins University, before undertaking doctoral studies at Morgan State University. His passion for education led to a fulfilling career as an educator andadministrator at Galena High School, Virginia Tech, Georgia Southwestern University,Chesapeake College, and Wilmington University. In addition to his professional contributions, Bill was deeply engaged in his community. He fed his passion for politics by serving on the Queen Anne's County Election Board for over 40 years. Bill also served as a member of the Queen Anne's County Local Management Board and the Queen Anne's County Democratic Club, among other civic organizations.
Bill was an avid collector of dogs, flea market "treasures," and travel memories from New York City and New Orleans. Until his legs, eyes, and ears wore out, he was a chronic explorer, people watcher, and eavesdropper. Bill would talk to anyone. One of his favorite lines to family, friends, and strangers was, "Can I ask you a personal question?" His relentless curiosity, warm humor, and unapologetic nosiness made him a one-of-a-kind presence in the lives of those who knew him.
