Lisa Devery Obituary

Lisa Kathleen Devery, age 64 of Hoboken, NJ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. Lisa was preceded in death by her parents Cyril and Louise Devery. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Brent and Denise Devery, their children Danielle Devery, Elise (Jack Ferrante, daughter Josephine) and Richard (Allison Lukas) Devery, and an extended family of aunts and cousins.
Born 11/02/1960 in Pittsburg, PA, Lisa grew up in Devon, PA, and then Basking Ridge, NJ where she graduated from high school. She attended Fairleigh Dickinson University and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Master of Arts Degree with a focus on Psychology.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Lisa dedicated her career to providing therapy and counseling to children and families throughout Hudson County, NJ.
Lisa enjoyed spending time with her family and the extensive friend groups she developed through her church community and the Hoboken community. She also enjoyed her passions for cooking, baking, and travel. She traveled to many parts of the world and brought back numerous recipes which she then prepared and shared extensively with family and friends. Lisa developed a love for Italy and spent several trips in Rome and other areas, experiencing the regional cultures and foods. A devoted sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend, she will be dearly missed.
Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025, 2:00pm at Church of the Little Flower, 310 Plainfield Ave, Berkeley Heights, NJ 07922.
