Virginia Kenny Obituary

Loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many
Virginia A. Kenny (nee Taghon), 83, of Pompton Plains, NJ passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025. She was born September 4, 1941 in Ontario, OR and was raised on her family's farm in Vale, OR. She attended secretarial school in Boise, ID. She met Peter Kenny, who was in the United States Air Force, stationed at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho. They were married in 1961 and traveled back east to New Jersey. They lived in Lincoln Park, NJ raising three children, Michael, Karen and Christopher. She was well known for working in the community both professionally and for her volunteer work. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister and a friend to many. This world lost one of its purest souls. She will be missed but not forgotten. She was a member of the Lions Club in Lincoln Park and also Friends of the Library. Beloved wife of the late Peter Kenny. Devoted mother of Michael Kenny (Gracia Conway), Christopher Kenny (Stella) and the late Karen Welter (Kenneth). Dear sister of Carolyn Taghon and the late David and Ralph Taghon. Loving grandmother of the late Robert Welter. Visiting will be on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at Keri-Lozito Funeral Home, 125 Main Street, Lincoln Park, NJ from 4-7 PM.
