Indar Singh Obituary

Singh - Indar, 73, of Bellport passed away on October 16, 2025. Born in Mahaicony, Guyana, Indar was one of eight children. At eighteen, he immigrated to the United States in pursuit of education and opportunity. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, stationed in Thailand and Germany. While serving, he earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland. After the war, he made New York his home. Later he earned his law degree from Touro Law School, attending classes and working evenings at the U.S. Post Office. Indar went on to have a respected career as an attorney, serving in Suffolk County Family Court and later focusing on real estate law. In his later years, he gave back to the community by helping people facing financial hardship navigate legal matters. He is survived by his wife, Dolly Singh; daughters, Natasha Agarwal and Nadia Rao; grandchildren, Amir and Tatiana Agarwal, and Sameer and Arianna Rao; three brothers, three sisters, and many nieces and nephews. Indar's greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren. He was a devoted New York football fan, a lover of Hindi and Guyanese music and cuisine, and enjoyed traveling the world, especially on cruises. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 6â€"9pm at Maloney Funeral Home, 132 Ronkonkoma Ave., Lake Ronkonkoma, NY 11779. Funeral services will take place on Sunday, October 19, 2025, from 9â€"11am at the same location. Indar Singh will be remembered for his warmth, integrity, and deep devotion to his family and community.
