Lee Ewing Obituary

Ewing, Lee Adams

May 16, 1951 - July 12, 2025

Lee died on July 12,2025 after his valiant fight against a very aggressive Liposarcoma cancer. He was 74 years old and was preceded in death by his brother George.

He is survived by his siblings, Rick (Jeanette) of St. Louis, Terry (Charlie) of St. Louis, Mary (Mark) of Steamboat Springs, CO and Katherine of Tyler, TX. Nephews, Peter (Mari) and Mike (Laura) both of St. Louis; five great nieces and nephews.

Lee graduated from Clayton High School and Drake University in Des Moines, IA. He spent the majority of his adult life in New York city. On weekends he would bartend where he honed his rapier wit and collected his armada of jokes.

He retired from Con Edison in 2016 and moved to his beloved spot on Crystal Lake, MI.

Lee was always the life of the party; his smile would make you smile. The absolute best joke teller and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or a charity of one's choice.

My sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to all the family and friends of Lee. He was one of the few in our office who you could talk freely with, meeting an understanding and congenial reaction.
Rest in Peace, dear Lee.

We have had great fun with Lee. Daughter Leslie was planning a trip to visit. We will miss him very much but now he can make the Angels laugh.

Lee was a true gem! It was my great honor to call him `friend´. His jokes were terrible, but his delivery was spot on. I will miss him terribly.

I can still hear his infectious laugh, see his radiant smile and recall a favorite joke or two. He will be missed.

Dear Rick, Terry, Mary and Kitty,
I am sorry for you all. Lee was a very kind and gentle person and will be greatly missed. He always had a joke for my mom and now she can listen to him telling her more
Love and prayers, Nancy.
