Died peacefully at home in Oaklea Convent on 23rd March 2025, aged 80 years.
A Sister of Mercy for 62 years.
Requiem Mass at St Mary's Catholic Church, Bridge Street
Sunderland on Friday 25th April at 9.30am. May she rest in peace.

My memories of Sister Aelred are joyous. I had the great pleasure of meeting with the trustees twice a year as an adviser to them. Always direct, full of fun, caring and thoughtful, inspired by her vocation. Hugely able and a joy to spend time with; she will be sorely missed. May she rest in peace.
