Richard Dillow

July 23, 1944 - January 9, 2025

Richard Keith Dillow, 80, of Bland, VA, passed away Thursday, January 09, 2025.

Born July 23, 1944, in Bland County, he was the son of the late Miller B. and Annabelle Harden Dillow.

He worked at the Bland Correctional Center, the greatest part of his career. He was a graduate of Bland High School and a graduate of Roanoke College. He followed the local Bland basketball team and was an avid fan of Duke Basketball. He was a big supporter of Bland County Horse Shows. In his past time he enjoyed farming and supervising all work projects.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Alvin Dillow.

Survivors include three sons, Thomas Keith Dillow and wife, Debra of Wytheville, VA, Benjamin Dillow and wife, Kim of Ceres, VA, Richard Bradley Dillow and wife, Mary of Bland, VA; four grandchildren, Kristen Dillow, Chase Dillow, Nina Dillow, and Asher Dillow.

Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, January 13, 2025, at 7 p.m., at the Bland Chapel with Eddie Dillow officiating. The Family will receive friends Monday, January 13, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Bland Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 11 a.m., at the Morning Star Cemetery in Bland, VA.
