Ann Crain Obituary

Ann Campbell Crain, 88, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 6th, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.

Ann was the fourth child of Albert and Anastasia Campbell, and was born and raised in Chicago,Illinois. She married Robert (Bob) Crain in 1955 and they settled in Brookfield, Illinois, where they raised three daughters. Ann and Bob moved to Napa, California in retirement, and they loved all that the "wine country" had to offer.

Ann had a generous spirit, always ready to help others. She particularly enjoyed working in hospitals, spending 10 years in the outpatient admitting department at Elmhurst Hospital in Illinois. Then after moving to Napa, she volunteered at Queen of the Valley Hospital for many years.

Ann was the heart of the family, and loved to host family gatherings and celebrations. She was a gracious hostess who especially loved holidays. Quick with a smile, she made friends easily, and was known for her generosity and kindness. She never failed to make everyone feel appreciated.

Ann touched the lives of many people and provided lasting memories of good times.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Patricia, Joan and Dorothy, and brother Thomas.

She is survived by daughters Deborah (Many), Jeanne (the late Daniel), and Carolyn (Nadia); grandson Brian (Amelie); brother James (Donna); and many nieces and nephews.

No services will be held. Donations can be made in Ann's honor to the American Red Cross. Ann Crain

Ann and Bob were a ray of sunshine. They enjoyed many years in The Napa Valley Mobile Home Park where they were very active and had many friends. They will surely be missed!
