Lee (Lilo) Romero

Lee (Lilo) Romero was born on February 4, 1960 and passed away July 11, 2025. Lee was the youngest child of 15 children born to Hipolito and Lila Romero. He was a lifelong resident of Llano Quemado. Lee was a carpenter and a hard worker. Lee honorably served his country in the US Navy. Lee was a strong Christian, and his faith carried him through the struggles of this world. Lee was a God-fearing man and spoke great scriptures to help others in life; he always had a positive outlook and was always willing to lend a helping hand for his community. Lee will be remembered by many for his kindness and compassion for friends, family and strangers. Lee raised 5 children and is survived by his children Hope Romero, Yawshua Lee Romero (Amira), Paul Romero, Ashley Padilla (Ryan Ortiz), Andrew Padilla (Cassandra). He is also survived by the mother of his children Rita Baldibiesa, Grandchildren, Rosalinda Leela Romero, Septimus Romero, Aurelius Romero, Isela Padilla, Andrew Padilla Jr. Brothers; David Romero, Wayne Romero (Rachel), Roger Romero (Margaret), sisters; Erla Archuleta, Patsy Romero and Peggy Ward (Stein) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Lee is preceded in death by his parents Hipolito Romero and Lila Chavez Romero, brothers: Max Romero, Paul Romero, Glen Romero, Isaac Romero, Robert Gonzales and sisters Elba Aguilar, Christella Grabowski, Juanita Romero, and Imelda Romero. The family asks in lieu of flowers or gifts that any donations be made to Riveria Funeral Home in the name of Lee Romero to assist with the cost of the funeral. Funeral Service for Lee Romero will be held on July 24, 2025, at 6:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home, Taos NM. Interment at Santa Fe National Cemetery on July 25, 2025, at 9:00 am.
