1944
2024
Donald Lee Langston, age 80, of Bigelow, went to be with our Lord Monday, Dec. 23, 2024, which was on his late father's birthday. He was a Mason at the East End Lodge #758 and a member of the Bigelow Baptist Church. Donald Lee was born Sept. 17, 1944, in Morrilton, Arkansas, the son of the late Donald and Marie Langston. He was raised dairy farming with his family in the Bigelow area. He was a home builder and in the manufactured housing business in the 70s and mid-80s. Afterward, he worked for Bill Dean Chevrolet, Jodie Brown Motors and Crain, where he retired in 2008. He loved the car business, where he made lifelong friends. He married Sandy on Nov. 25, 1990. He is survived by his wife, Sandy Brown Langston of 34 years; three children, Don Jr. and wife Peggy, Kevin and wife Misty and Natalie Wilson; four sisters and two brother-in-laws, Linda Morrow (Don), Regina McKinney, Katie Akridge, Diana Clements and Dicky Bennett, all of Bigelow. He is preceded in death by his sister, Nora Bennett of Bigelow. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Jordan Langston (Torrie), Morgan Kibbons (Tye), Spencer Langston (Laura), Madison Holder (Hunter), Graham Langston (Regan), Mason Teed, Sydnie Teed and Abigail Langston; and 11 great-grandchildren.
His passion was his family. He attended every event possible for his grandchildren. He loved to travel, and his favorite getaway was Lake City, Colorado, where he would bring along dozens of friends and family throughout the years starting in 1979, introducing them to his favorite sights in the world. His favorite quote was "What's your twenty?" when he wanted to know where you were. His "twenty" is now on the streets of gold in heaven with his Savior.
A graveside service was held 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 27, at Volman Cemetery. Arrangements were by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. Pallbearers were Jordan Langston, Spencer Langston, Graham Langston, Tye Kibbons, Hunter Holder and Mason Teed. Online Guestbook: www. harrisfuneralhomes.net.
