ROCK FALLS - Lila Mae Edeus, 81, of Rock Falls, died on Monday, September 15, 2025, at OSF St. Katharine Medical Center in Dixon.
Lila was born June 26, 1944, in Sterling, the daughter of Leo and Florence (Grimes) Harrington. She married Martin Edeus on November 16, 1963, in Sterling. He preceded her in death on June 24, 2019. Lila was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sterling. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, and canning.
Survivors include four daughters, Janet (Vincent) Gaudet of Port Byron, Julie Edeus (Chris White), of Milledgeville, Jill (Toby) O'Brien, and Jennifer Pillars (Chad Joynt), all of Rock Falls; two sisters, JoAnne Ludewig of Milledgeville, and Linda Westphal of Effingham; one brother, Ken (Barb) Harrington of Sterling; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild; and special niece, Kelly (Matt) Hardy, of Bloomington.
Lila was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one son in infancy, Timothy Edeus.
Cremation rites will be accorded. Private family service will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sterling. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to DaVita Whiteside Dialysis of Sterling.
