Alice Shepherd Obituary
She graduated from Fitch High School in 1953. She received her LTA and worked as head of circulation at Groton Public Library and Mitchell College.
Alice enjoyed gardening, reading, being a big fan of the UConn Lady Huskies, and especially spending time with her family whom she cherished.
She is survived by oldest daughter Bonnie (Mark) Pearson; youngest son Scott (Michael) Shepherd; grandson Ben (Heather); granddaughter Beth (Jake); grandsons, Adam and Kevin; great-grandson Oliver; and former husband Kenneth. She is preceded in death by oldest son Kenny; and youngest daughter Alison.
There will be a private burial at Elm Grove Cemetery.

I remember taking library classes with Alice many years ago and working with her at the Groton Public Library. She was a very caring lady with much dedication to her work.
