My memories of Bob revolve around the summer of 1970 or 1971 when we, along with a couple of other Elmhurst classmates, worked at the Penguin Point in Times Corners. He was always joking around and made work fun for everyone around him. I don't remember any specifics, just the laughter and good times, which seemed to define and surround him. So sorry Karen, for your loss.

I remember when Bob moved into our Fort Wayne neighborhood near the beginning of high school. He became a part of my daily life through those high school years, less so as we moved on during and after college, but we kept in touch. We experienced everything that high schoolers and college students did during the late 60s and early 70s, including playing together in a garage band. I was fortunate to reconnect with Bob/Woody and Dave Hamilton a few years ago at the Black Dog Pub, sharing old stories and new lies. We fell easily into reminiscing, without the need to tax our short-term memories. I am saddened by Bob’s passing, but a better person for having known him.
