Revena Grant Obituary

Revena "Vinnie" Lou Grant, 85, of Mt. Vernon, passed away on September 17, 2025, at the Hallmark Care Center. A Celebration of Life gathering was held from 12-3 p.m., on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Revena was born on August 10, 1940, in Brown County, Texas, the daughter of James Edward and Alethe Christine (Dodson) Watkins. Revena is survived by her sisters Debrah Kay, and Norma Jean, her sons Christopher Grant, and Richard Grant; her eleven grandchildren, Amanda Goblirsch, Shannon Jarvis, Michael Bergman, Abby Grant, Kelly Grant, Mason Grant, Rylee Dunkel, Dallas Grant, Adam Williams, Jessie Cramblet, Casey Cramblet. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond Grant, and daughter Deann Grant. Revena devoted her life to her family and husband. She enjoyed camping, birdwatching, and word searches. She had a warm laugh and a giving heart that touched everyone she met. Memorials may be directed to the Linn County Bird Preservation.
