Steven Anderson Obituary

Steven R. Anderson "Crackie", 78, passed away July 5, 2025 in the mountains in Arizona with his best buddy German Shepard, Herman. Steve was a military veteran serving in Vietnam, Thailand and Laos, avid Harley rider, and many knew him from his bar Crackie's Asylum in Blairstown, Iowa. Those who knew Crackie, all had a story to tell and a great memory about his cantankerous spirit and tell-it-like-it-is attitude. He is survived by his wife, Mary Anderson, sister Lynne Bogle and niece Tammy Baker. He was preceded in death by his father Dale Anderson, mother Francis Peyton, sisters Sue Arnell and Dale Peyton, and brother Scott Peyton. Steve will be missed by many. A celebration of life will be announced at a future date.
