Jerry L. Giovengo, 48, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2025.
The family will gather privately to remember Jerry. Memorials may be made to Samantha Giovengo for Kylee and Bella's education fund and mailed to Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, 415 N. Broadway, Shelbyville, IL 62565. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL.
Jerry was born on May 6, 1977, in Joliet, IL, the son of Jerry Paul and Mary Alice (Pruitt) Giovengo. He married Samantha N. Beal on June 17, 2011. Jerry worked for Tractor Supply and owned and operated a landscaping and firewood business in Shelbyville. He enjoyed fishing, restoring cars, and collecting Case Knives and baseball cards.
He is survived by his wife, Samantha; sons, Jesse Frundle-Giovengo of Texas, Austin Frundle-Giovengo of Pontiac, IL, Johnny Giovengo of Texas, and Sam Giovengo of Texas; daughters, Kylee Giovengo and Bella Giovengo both of Shelbyville, IL; father, Jerry Paul Giovengo of Joliet, IL; siblings, David Giovengo of Pontiac, IL and Rebecca Dziuban (John) of Gilman, IL; four grandchildren, Jacob, Jazmin, Emma and Juliet; special uncle, Gary Giovengo (Donna) of Joliet, IL; and nine nieces and nephews, Starlett, Tabitha, Ezmerelda, Sebastian, Anistacio, Paul, Alexis, Lucas and Emily.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Alice Giovengo, and sister, Allison Giovengo.
