Died: May 5, 2025 in Homer Glen, IL
Jo Ellen (Royer) Simmons, age 81, died Monday, May 5, 2025, at her home in Homer Glen; surrounded by loved ones. Preceded in death by her parents, James and Josephine (Ping) Royer of Bloomington Indiana. She is survived by her loving husband James W. Simmons of 60 years; a loving Mother of; Rebecca Cristofaro, Patricia (John) Downs and James P. (Carla) Simmons. Cherished Grandmother of; Jeffrey (Tammy), Jonquil, Mikaela, Alexandra (Owen), Daniel, Johnathan, Samuel, Claire, and Chloe. Along, with her 5 Great grandchildren.
Jo Ellen was a long-standing member of the Faith United Methodist Church of Orland Park, Illinois. She loved spending time with family, friends, cooking, crafting, gardening and spoiling her pets. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and compassion. There will be a celebration of her life at Faith United Methodist Church of Orland Park on Friday May 30,2025, at 2pm visitation, 3pm service.
