Sandy Lee Hetz of McHenry, Illinois passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025. She was born October 17, 1948 survived by her husband Gary Hetz, whom she was married to for nearly 60 years. Sandy leaves behind a legacy of love through her son, Troy Hetz ( wife Deana) daughter Carie Mendlik ( husband Ray) grandchildren, Allison Jake, Josh, Alexandra, Chandler, John, Stephen, , Eliana & great-grandchild Charlotte. Sandy was a loyal friend and a gifted beautician to many. She had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed cruising trips to Vegas and her time with friends at Hideaway Park in Florida. Additionally, she enjoyed hosting her famous Halloween parties and playing games with friends and family. She will be deeply missed. please join us in celebrating her life on Saturday, September 27 at Johnsburg Community Club 2315 W. Church St., Johnsburg, IL 60051 from 2 PM to 6 PM. In lieu of flowers please send donations to:
ASSISI animal foundation in her name.

My deepest sympathy goes out to my Uncle Gary and his family in this very sad time. Aunt Sandy was one of my favorite aunt's. I will keep her and all of you in my thoughts and hope that memories of all the fun and laughter she brought us will comfort you in this difficult time.

Gary and family, we send our deepest condolences on Sandy´s death. We are in shock along with so many of your River Vista friends and family. Rollie lost his " cruise wife" and I lost a special friend. We hold many fond memories of our time together and those times will always be the best memories. Love, Rollie and Carolann.
