Margaret M. Simon
Margaret M. Simon, 96, wife of the late Henry A. Simon, passed away July 7, 2025.
She is survived by her children Rosanne Waldmiller and Mark Simon, grandson Matthew Waldmiller and his wife Jennifer, great-granddaughter Adeline, brother George and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband of 75 years Marge was predeceased by her parents John and Theresa Srnecz and her brother John Srnecz.
Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family and sharing in their lives, activities and accomplishments.
She also had a special place in her heart for her extended family as evidenced by the three volume family ancestry book she compiled. Marge was the go to person with any questions about the family.
She enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, Europe, Mexico and the Caribbean. A long time member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, she was active in over 20 ministries during her lifetime and was a recipient of the St. Augustine Medal of Service.
The family would like to thank caregivers J.J. and Zenia, aide Jazmin and visiting nurses Chris and Sandy for the care they provided. A special thanks to the staff at Notre Dame Health and Rehabilitation Center for their care and support during mom's final days.
Calling hours will be held on Friday July 11, 2025 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday July 12, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT. Entombment will follow at St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk, CT. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Thomas the Apostle Parish or Notre Dame Health and Rehabilitation Center.
