RUSSELLVILLE, AL/MOOREVILLE, MS - Dorothy Jean Autrey, 81, passed away in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 9, 2025, at the Helen Keller Hospital in Tuscumbia, Alabama. She was born October 30, 1943, in Guntown to Delmer E. and Bertie Annabelle Rogers Funderburk. Having really enjoyed working, she retired from Metro Ford where she was the secretary and treasurer.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Watkins (Jeff) of Mooreville; one brother, Larry Funderburk (Sharlene) of Russellville, AL; one sister, Charlotte Lard (Rob) of Iuka; one grandson, Corey Grooms; three great-grandchildren, Gavin, Ayden, and Jensen Grooms; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Autrey; three sisters, Barbara Morton, Gerrie Palmer, and Brenda Lawson; and her parents.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 13, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Joseph Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Union Grove Cemetery near Mooreville with McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Mantachie in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home in Mantachie.
