Elaine Legrand Obituary
Elaine was born in Osceola Mills, and formerly of Philipsburg before moving to Bridgewater, N.J. in 1961.
She was a graduate of Philipsburg-Osceola High School.
Elaine was employed as a classroom aide for the Bridgewater Baptist Church Preschool. She was a member of the Millstone Valley Chapter of the Sweet Adelines, the Bradley Gardens Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and the Bradley Gardens PTA Bowling League. In her spare time, she enjoyed family gatherings, music, watching Perry Mason, Matlock and old cowboy programs, and going to the Flea Market with her husband. She will be sadly missed by all.
She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph "Don" Legrand; parents, Jonathan Dale and Hazel (Holt) Taylor; two brothers, John and James Taylor; and granddaughter, Nicole Healy.
Surviving are her daughters, Betty Mantz and her husband Stan, Joni Ur and her companion Mitch Menkowski, and Debra Brown and her husband Jamie; sisters, Carol Richner, Fay Burge, and Mary Goss; grandchildren, Frank Ur and his wife Jessica, Melanie, Daniel, and Matthew Mantz; grandson-in-law, Glen Healy; and great grandchildren, Brandon Ur, Glen Jr., Austin, Gunnar, and Knox Healy and Matthew and Joey DeLucia.
Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday at Neshanic Cemetery in Hillsborough beginning with a visitation at 9:30 a.m. at Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 N. Gaston Ave, Somerville.
Donations can be made to the Gateway Church Worship Team, 324 Milltown Rd, Bridgewater, NJ 08807 or Bradley Gardens Fire Company, 24 Old York Road, Bridgewater, NJ 08807.
