Jean Shue Obituary

Jean Burnett Shue, 85, of Mount Pleasant, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Stanly Manor in Albemarle.
Jean was born on May 6, 1939, in Gibsonville, to the late Marvin Burnett and the late Evelyn Burnett.
She is also preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Boyd "Blondie" Bain Shue, and her two sisters, Joan Burnett Kimrey of Mount Pleasant and Patsy Burnett Creswell of Oakboro. She is also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Rodger "Dale" Huneycutt of Richfield.
The family received friends at Open Door Baptist Church in Richfield on Friday, March 7, 2025 from 1-2 p.m. The funeral service followed at 2 p.m., officiated by Rev. Nathan Hammill and Bro. Craig Brown, at Open Door Baptist Church, 24639 Hwy. 49, Richfield, NC 28137. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
At other times, friends can meet with the family at the home of Tammy Shue Faulk.
Mrs. Shue is survived by her three children: Teresa Huneycutt of Richfield, Jeffery Shue and wife Bettina of Donna, Texas, and Tammy Faulk and husband Danny of Richfield; six grandchildren: Toby Huneycutt and wife DeAnna, Jake Huneycutt and fiancé Lanie Marie, Laura Cox and husband Andrew, Trina Burgdoff and husband Daniel, Meagan Cortinas and husband Sixto and Valeria Garza and husband Alberto; 10 great-grandchildren: Jayce and Presleigh Huneycutt, Ava and Leah Cox, Aria and Cora Burgdoff, Cora and Xóchitl Cortinas, Olivia Olmedo, and Zoé, Alizée, and Kaéli Garza.
The family wants to take this opportunity to thank Stanly Manor for the care that their mother received.
