Earl Hansford Grubbs
Earlier today
Another distinguished Clemson Alum and American Patriot Soldier now rests in honored glory as God's newest angel. Ben was my chemistry teacher at Barnwell High School who besides being a wonderful teacher (I was in awe of his keen intellect and willingness to explain in excruciating detail all facets of chemistry) also shared many moments of his love for Clemson resulting in paving my desire to enter Clemson in 1963. I will always treasure the wonderful moments he shared with all his students, making each one of us feel very special and talented. May God's loving hand guide each family member and loved ones as they long remember the sterling legacy of this gifted teacher and citizen soldier. "Where the Blue Ridge Yawns its greatness, where the Tigers play............." Earl Hansford Grubbs, BHS 63 and CU 67, Retired Army Officer
