Harold Anderson Obituary

Mr. Harold "Hal" Homer Anderson, 76, of Ellijay, died Wednesday, May 14, 2025.

He was born Feb. 24, 1949, in Ellijay, to Hoyt Harold and Dorothy Faye Carver Anderson. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ellijay and the owner and operator of GA Mountain Towing and Anderson Scrap Metal.

He is survived by son, Jeffrey Harold Anderson, of Ellijay; granddaughter, Lexie Marie Anderson, of Ellijay; sisters, Linda Burnette, and husband, Tommy, of Talking Rock, Carol Teague, and husband, Junior, of Ellijay, and Sandy Coleman, and husband, Travis, of Ellijay; sister-in-law, Oleeta Parks Hughes, of Oglethorpe, Tenn.; and Alene Parks Whitaker, of Chatsworth; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 2 p.m. at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy McClure and the Rev. Larry Stover officiating.

Interment followed in the Calvary Way Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Junior Teague, Tommy Burnette, Mark Harper, Jeff Welch, Christopher Ralston, Jamey Whitaker and Jason Burnette.
