Edna Lake Obituary

A very big part of my childhood was spent over on Waverly Place with my best friends Toby and Matt. Edna was a Cheerful, funny and caring woman and I can still remember her voice when I would get to eat Matzah Ball Soup with her and her wonderful family at the dinner table. My condolences to the entire Lake family.

I didn't know her for very long, but I will certainly miss her in our class at the YMCA. She had a beautiful smile and a personality to go with it. What a sweet woman! Please accept my sincerest condolences.

I met Edna at Florida State University...and continued our friendship in NYC before our paths diverged. What a special person she was..A vibrant, laughing, kind, lovely person. She will be missed by her family and friends. May her memory be a blessing.

Edna was a kind and generous inspiration to me when I began teaching at Schenectady High School. I feel blessed to have known her.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Edna. She was a great Wife, Mom, Grandma and friend. In her professional life she helped improve the lives of students and families. Her knowledge, experience, wisdom helped her teaching colleagues be more effective in their classrooms. When she served on the Schenectady Board of education, she always put students first. She and Sandy made a Great Team, both devoting their professional careers to helping others. Our condolences to Sandy & the Lake family. May she RIP.

I am so very sorry to hear of Edna’s passing. We worked together in the Schenectady School District and our daughters - both named Sarah - played lacrosse together in high school. Your family has my deepest condolences.

I am so saddened by the passing of Edna. We spent great time together as our kids were growing up and later spending evenings with her and Sandy! May her memory be for a blessing.

I am in complete shock to hear about Edna's passing. We met in 7th grade at Miami Springs Jr. High. We have remained friends all these years through texting & facebook. She was a wonderful friend to so many.
