Michael Barner Obituary

Barner, Michael J. ST. AUGUSTINE Fla. Michael J. Barner, 68, of St. Augustine, Fla, died suddenly on Friday, February 3, 2017. Mike was the son of the late Leo and Mary Farley Barner. Mike was born in Troy on August 15, 1948, and was raised in East Greenbush, before serving in the United States Navy. Mike worked various jobs in the local area before moving to Ocala, Fla. in 1981 and worked a number of years in excavating and lawn maintenance before retiring in St. Augustine. Mike enjoyed darts, pool, bowling, fishing, auto racing and being with family and friends. He is survived by his siblings, Beverly (John) Hines of East Greenbush, Richard (Valerie) of Ocala, Fla., John (Barbara) of Prescott, Ariz., Ronald (Karen) of East Greenbush; one aunt; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private. Interment will be in the Kinderhook Reformed Church Cemetery.

R.I.P Mike Barner, you will always be an icon at the Hide-A-Way Tavern in EGB. Have fun shooting darts and playing pool with my father and watch out for my mother that she doesn't hit you with the frying pan. A lot of memories there. R.I.P my friend. XXOO
