Elaine Podlogar Obituary

Elaine Beverly Podlogar, of North Huntingdon, passed away at home with close family on Friday, Aug. 15, at the age of 70. Elaine lost her 2.5-year battle with kidney cancer. Elaine was born Dec. 20, 1954, in Warren, OH, to Keith and Betty Smith. Elaine graduated from Joseph Badger School in 1973. Elaine was a manager at Denny's in Irwin for 19 years and went on to be a food service director for The Nutrition Group, before retiring. Elaine enjoyed traveling to the beach, golfing, bowling, playing cards, spending time with friends and families, and going to her grandkids' games. Elaine is survived by her husband, Anthony Podlogar, to whom she was married for 50 years; her daughter Christine and her husband, Tim, and their two sons, Dylan and Dax; and her daughter Nicole and her husband, David, and their two children, Ava and Reid. Elaine is also survived by her siblings, Keith Smith, Cedelia Longley, Clyde Smith, and Margie Smith. Elaine wanted a celebration of life. This will be planned for family and close friends at a later date.
