Cathy A. Blosser
Cathy Ann Blosser, 64, a lifelong resident of Sewickley, passed away Monday, Nov. 8, 2021, at Magee Women's Hospital, Oakland, following a month-long battle with the covid-19 delta variant, in which she was on a ventilator for three weeks. Cathy was a graduate of Quaker Valley High school, Class of 1975. Cathy was an employee of the Heritage Valley Health system, specifically West Allegheny Health Care as a physician office specialist 1 for the last 15 years for the family practice of Dr. Todd McCaslin. Cathy was dearly loved by all her patients and co-workers. Her office manager, Marcy, has been exceptionally wonderful, and helpful as well as her boss, Dawn, who is the regional director of physician practices, and Mary from their HR department. These three women have my undying gratitude for their empathy, compassion and kindness, especially Marcy Beatty; my sister, Millie Krulac; and my best friend, Dan Williams, who have been with me every step of the way helping to navigate the system and my grief from day one. Cathy is survived by me, her loving and devoted husband of 45 years, Braden Sr.; and our two sons, Braden Jr., from Gross Point Woods, Mich.; and Lucas J., of Pittsburgh; her sister, Sue O'neill (Daniel), of Sewickley; one granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews. Cathy was preceded in death by her mother and father, Ruth and Russell Ervin; brothers, Gary (Roberta), of Grand Prairie, Texas, Wayne (Linda), of Pittsburgh, and Elaine (Donald) Reed, of Beaver; and a beloved nephew, Zachary J. O'Neill, of Sewickley.
