John Kirk Obituary

John passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025, and was born Sept. 27, 2007, in Kingwood, TX, to Amy and Brett Kirk. He attended schools in both Sewickley and Kingwood, TX. He had just completed his junior year at Kingwood High School. John ran track and was on the robotics teams in both Sewickley and Kingwood. He was in the Key Club and did volunteer work at the Houston Food Bank. John had a passion for model trains. He was a plane spotter and had one of his pictures published in the Pittsburgh Airport Magazine. John loved astronomy. On many starry nights, he set up a telescope at the farm to watch an eclipse, the Milky Way, or the planets. John was looking forward to taking flight lessons. John loved history, particularly WWII. The family farm was John's "happy place." There, he hunted, fished, and enjoyed family gatherings. John loved the Lord and attended church with his family at the various Churches of Christ. John is survived by his father, Brett Kirk; sister, Eliza Kirk; grandparents, Betty and Bill Kirk; uncles, Trent Kirk and Jim Manning; aunt, Kim Kirk; and cousins, Ali and Leah Kirk.
