Anna Harrold Obituary

Anna Marie Harrold, 101, of Greensburg, died Friday, July 1, 2022, in her home. She was born May 7, 1921, in Youngwood, a daughter of the late Merle and Cecelia Lundholm Henderson. She was a graduate of Youngwood High School and the Westmoreland School of Nursing in 1942. She retired as head nurse of two floors at Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg. She and her late husband, Russell T. Harrold, enjoyed shared hobbies of gardening and operating a small orchard, which included making apple cider. She was also talented at decorative painting, knitting and sewing. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Greensburg, a lifetime member of the Westmoreland Area Nurses Association and a charter member of Thyme for Herbs. In addition to her parents and husband, Anna Marie was predeceased by a brother, Sam Henderson; a sister-in-law, Naomi Henderson; and a brother-in-law, Tony Baughman. She is survived by four children, Sandra (Dennis) Hurd, of Arizona, R. Terry (Linda) Harrold, of Ohio, Cynthia (Dr. Robert) Jackson, of Greensburg, and Melanie Harrold, of Greensburg; eight grandchildren, Jeffrey (Betsy) Hurd, Timothy (Cheryl) Hurd, Lori Bricolas, Erin Stoner, Brian (Jenni) Harrold, Scott (Laura) Harrold, Anna Marie (Morgan) Mitchell and Robert Jackson III; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Elvera Baughman, of Youngwood; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Suncrest Hospice for all their care and support. There will be no public visitation or service. Private entombment will be in St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg.
