Clyde Naugle Obituary

Clyde A. Naugle, 91, of Stoystown, formerly of Laughlintown, passed away Sept. 14, 2025, at The Patriot in Somerset. Born July 17, 1934, in Ligonier, he was the son of Earl C. Naugle and Wilma I. (Wineland) Naugle. Also preceded in death by his wife, Louella Mae (Roberts) Naugle, on Nov. 18, 2001; and his brother, Floyd Naugle. Survived by his children, Clyde E. Naugle and wife Susan, Karen Naugle, Timothy Naugle and wife Margaret, Jess Naugle and wife Sherry, and Rhonda Swihura and husband Bill; sister, Gladys Light and husband Phil; grandchildren, Heather (Eddie), Gretchen (Justin), Lydia, Matthew, Logan, Dakota (Anna), Emily (Dakotah), Hattie, Chris (Olivia), Allie (Dominick), Austin (Kelli), and Emma (Marshall); 12 great-grandchildren (and a baby girl soon to be born); and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Clyde started working at a young age at Laurel Mountain Farms in Laughlintown and went on to work at Westinghouse Electric in Derry, from which he retired. He also owned and operated Naugle's Market and Game Processing in Laughlintown with his children. Clyde was an avid hunter and enjoyed many trips to Otter Lake, Canada, to hunt for black bear and moose. His favorite hobby was spending time with his grandchildren. A private interment will be held at Jenner Crossroads Cemetery. The public is invited to a time of remembrance from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, 2025, at the Laughlintown Community Center, 122 Center St., Laughlintown, PA 15655. "See you when you get here."
