Dennis Brown Obituary

Dennis Ray Brown, 76, of Acme, passed away Sunday, Feb. 26, 2023, in UPMC Mercy Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, from an accident sustained in his truck repair garage. Mr. Brown was born Dec. 4, 1946, in Connellsville, to the late Ben I. and Frances M. Snyder Brown. Dennis attended Buchanan Church of God in White. He was a graduate of Connellsville High School, Class of 1964. Dennis was an avid hunter and loved hunting with his son, Brent and daughter, Kristi. He also enjoyed watching horse pulling shows and riding his mule, Bunny. Dennis loved spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dennis is survived by his loving wife of more than 56 years, Denise Brown; his loving children, Shelly Gaffney (Bill), Brent Brown (Mandy) and Kristi Brown; his loving grandchildren, Meghan Ware (Todd), and Dustin Gaffney; and by his adoring great-grandchildren, Shawn, Ozzie and Stevie. Dennis is also survived by his siblings, Velma Crowe (H.), Marie Binkey (Grover), Delmas Brown (Vicki) and Diane Addis (Dave). In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his grandson, Nathan Gaffney; his siblings, Fred, Wayne and Dolly Brown; and by his father- and mother-in-law, Donald H. and Eunice Brown. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service for Dennis at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 4, in Buchanan Church of God, 836 Buchanan Road, White, PA 15490, with Pastor Tim Beatty officiating.
