Edna Nickle Obituary

Edna Mae "Sunny" Nickle, 88, of Adamsburg, died Monday, July 14, 2025, in UPMC East. She was born Aug. 19, 1936, in Export, a daughter of the late David A. and Esther (Tharp) Soles. Prior to retirement, she was employed by GNC, and she was a member of Bible Fellowship Church of Irwin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Nickle; a son, George Charles Bernhardy Sr.; two grandsons, Shawn Bernhardy and Joseph Ginter; two sisters, Evelyn "Dolly" Susko; and infant, Irma Soles; and four brothers, Thomas Briney, George, Raymond, and David Earl Soles. She is survived by her children, Arlene Kasenic, Sher Churchfield, and Karolyn Seice (Mike); stepchildren, Tim Nickle (MaryAnn), Terri Yee (Mike), Rick Nickle (Donna), Paul Nickle, Robert Cook, and Terry Lynn Ginter; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cherished friends. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2025, at MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 N. First St., Jeannette. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2025, in the funeral home, with Pastor Gavin Hassel officiating. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
