Ernest Ceresa Obituary

Ernest Paul Ceresa Jr., 76, of Penn Township, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2025. He was born on March 3, 1949, in Greensburg, to Ernest and Florence (Pierce) Ceresa. Ernest worked for the Westinghouse Printing Division, Compunetix, HealthSouth, and the Penn Township School District. He had a huge heart for animals, especially his dogs, Charlie and Meadow, and cats, Lizzy and Secka. He also found great joy when riding his Harley motorcycle. Ernest is survived by his beloved girlfriend, Sandy Ickes; children, Rachel Temple Pamer, Tony (Misty) Ceresa, Shauna Ickes, and Amber Ickes; grandchildren, Chad Heasley, Laurianne, Aliyah, and Julianna; brothers, Dominick (Ginny) Ceresa and Roy (Barb) Ceresa; sister, Mary (Gary McCullough) Kinkella; niece, Nikki (Abel) Galvez; and great-nephew, Santi. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Vicki Ceresa. Friends will be received from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 25, 2025, at LINDSAY-JOBE FUNERAL HOME INC., 3343 Route 130, PO Box 465, Harrison City, with Rev. There is an old Irish proverb that say´s it best "A good friend is like a four-leaf clover; hard to find and lucky to have." Ernie, we had that for over Seventy years, and I am grateful for every second of it.
