Garey J. Clemens, 73, of Lower Burrell, passed away Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021, at UPMC St. Margaret Hospital, Pittsburgh, after being ill the past year. He was born May 5, 1948, in Pittsburgh, to Madeline (Grippo) Koepfinger, of Moon Township. Garey lived most of his life in Moon Township and Lower Burrell. He was a foreman for various departments at Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corp, Brackenridge, for 30 years and also was employed at Westinghouse Corp. for a number of years. Garey was a veteran of the Air Force and was of the Catholic faith. He was a member of River Forest Country Club and was an avid golfer. Garey graduated from Moon High School and was an usher at Heinz Field. He volunteered at the VA and also Oakmont Country Club. Garey was a good person with a great sense of humor who loved his family and his animals. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Cathy F. (Finik) Clemens; his children, Christine A. Clemens, of Los Angeles, Calif., and Kyle L. Clemens (Gage Lester) , of Ocean City, Md. Also surviving are his sister, Charmane Winters, of New York; and his stepfather Joseph Koepfinger, of Moon Township. Besides his father, George Clemens, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Clemens; and his first stepfather, Daniel Masucci. All services and burial in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township, will be private. A celebration of Garey's life will be held in early 2022. Garey was my 2nd cousin. His Mother was a 1st cousin. He was a sweet young boy. We had such good times on fishing trips with his mom and dad. I'm so sorry to hear he passed. My condolences to his wife and children.
