Gerald Pevornik Obituary

Gerald T. "Jerry" Pevornik, 82, of Penn, died Wednesday, July 23, 2025. He was born April 6, 1943, in Penn, a son of the late John G. Pevornik Sr. and Grace (Rain) Pevornik. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Rochez Brothers, and he was a member of Penn Rod and Gun Club, ABATE, and a social member of Shafton Vol. Fire Dept. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon (Lavelle) Sasso Pevornik; a son, Gerald William "Little Jerry" Pevornik; a brother, Paul Pevornik Sr.; and two sisters-in-law, Janet Pevornik and Amelia "Mike" Pevornik. He is survived by a brother, John G. Pevornik Jr.; his children, Lisa Rogers, Jake Sasso, Edward Sasso, and Joseph Sasso; a special niece, Erin Heffelfinger; his little buddy, Charlie Sauter; numerous grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and a special mention to the Auto Barn and many close friends. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 17, 2025, at Penn Rod and Gun Club. MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME INC. is entrusted with arrangements.
