Henry Yasczak Obituary

Henry 'Butch' Yasczak, 79, of West Leechburg, passed away Friday, May 23, 2025, in his home surrounded by his loving family. Born May 15, 1946, in Natrona Heights, Butch was the son of the late Henry V. and Irene (Smith) Yasczak. He was a 1964 graduate of Kiski Area High School and finished an associate degree at the Electronics Institute of Pittsburgh. Butch was the owner and operator of Henry's TV and Appliance in East Vandergrift. He worked for his father and took over the business in 1989. Butch was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Kittanning. He was a proud member of the Kittanning Fireman's Band and Kittanning Community Band, where he played trumpet and baritone horn for many years. He was a member of AACA-Kiski Valley Region, Leechburg Historical Society, Victorian Vandergrift, and the Vandergrift Lions Club, where he was past president. Butch loved spending time at his family's camp in Rosston. He enjoyed attending auctions and was an avid collector of trains, classic cars, and musical instruments. In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Robert Milligan Jr. and Steven Zeigler; and a nephew, David Zeigler. Butch is survived by his wife of 54 years, Margery L. (Milligan) Yasczak of West Leechburg; children, Robert (Amy) Yasczak of West Leechburg, and Amanda (Craig) Ehrman of Gilpin Township; grandchildren, Eli Yasczak, Blake Ehrman, and Addison Ehrman; sisters, Loretta Zeigler of West Leechburg, and Kathleen (Tasso) Liartis of Vandergrift; sisters-in-law, Shelly (Robert) Zinsmeister, Sally (Ken) Knight, and Lina (Dave) Rupert; and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, June 6, 2025, at CURRAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES INC., 300 Market St., Leechburg. The Vandergrift Lions Club will conduct a necrology service at 7:00 p.m., in the funeral home. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 7, 2025, in St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 112 N Water St., Kittanning, PA 16201, with Father Brandon Cooper as celebrant. Everyone, please meet at church. Burial will follow in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington.
