Marcella L. Cockroft, 72, of Vandergrift, died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021, at her residence. She was born July 18, 1949, in Kittanning, daughter of Rudolf Baynar and Mary Malec Baynar. She was a resident of the community for 38 years. She was the wife of 38 years to Jack L. Cockroft. She was a member of St. James Church of Apollo. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, baking, reading books, doing crafts and traveling. Survivors include her daughter, Shiloh and Stephen Miller, of Avonmore; sister, Cathy Claypool, of Jamestown, Ohio; and grandchildren, Shelby, Adilyn and Poppy Miller. She was preceded in death by her sister, Loretta Loncosky. Viewing will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at MANTINI FUNERAL HOME INC., Ford City. A service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Father Eric Dinga officiating. Interment will be at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
