Mary Albanese, 95, of New Kensington, died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2022, in Rosebrook Personal Care Home, Sarver. She was born Sept. 8, 1926, to the late Joseph and Josephine Ciebiera Lyszczek and was a lifelong resident of the New Kensington-Arnold area. Mrs. Albanese was a member of Mt. St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington, and worked for St. Vincent De Paul Society. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and going to her camp in Sigel with her late husband. She loved the Lord with all her heart and also loved to bake. She always made the best cookies and pastries. She is survived by her two daughters, Diane (Randy) Hessom, of Lower Burrell, Cynthia (John) Martinez, of Butler; four grandchildren, Dale (Liz) Hessom, Jackie (Andy) Rupert, Gina (Wesley) Finke and Alyssa (Ben) Archer; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mildren Germanich, of Riverbank, Calif., and Cecelia Jablonowski, of Brackenridge. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James S. Albanese, and siblings, Edward, Ted, John and Steve Lyszczek, Sophie Dziadosz, Blanche Pushker and Jenny Bloom. The family would like extend a special thank you to the staff at Rosebrook as well as Monarch Hospice for the wonderful care Mrs. Albanese received. Friends are welcome to attend Christian funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Mt. St. Peter Church, 100 Freeport Road, New Kensington, PA 15068.
