Nancy Kronenwetter Obituary

Nancy (Wagner) Kronenwetter, 89, of Natrona Heights, passed away peacefully at home on Sept. 12, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born June 16, 1936, in St. Marys, daughter of the late George and Marcella (Hanes) Wagner. Nancy graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1954. She was very proud to have been chosen to sing in the District Chorus in Coudersport. She continued to sing in choirs throughout her life, including the Senior Choir and Resurrection Choir at Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Natrona Heights. Nancy also volunteered for years with Meals on Wheels. On Oct. 13, 1956, Nancy married Howard "Howie" Kronenwetter. Her family will treasure memories of trips to the camp Nancy and Howard bought in Brookville in the early 1980s. Some of Nancy's favorite pastimes were dancing the jitterbug, bowling, baking, playing cards (especially with her sisters and nieces), reading, watching her beloved Pittsburgh Pirates on TV, spending time with all of her many friends and family, and spending time at the family camp. Nancy is survived by her sons, Scott (Elizabeth) Kronenwetter and Andrew (Lisa) Kronenwetter; and daughter, Tracy (Thomas) Happe. She has one surviving brother, George "Butch" (Ann) Wagner. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Leena Kronenwetter, Thaddaeus (Melissa) Kronenwetter, Lara (William) Stunkel, Amy (Nicholas) Mannerino, Tabitha Kronenwetter, and Jared (Kelly) Kronenwetter; great-grandchildren, Gabrielle, Makari, Tessa, Shani, Ava, Howard, Alexandra, Gimbo, Lucas, Maggie, Vincent, and Dominic; and great-great-grandchildren, Hadassah, Alexa, Nathan, and Eli. She was proud to have lived to see her great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Howard "Howie" Kronenwetter; two brothers, William "Bill" (Edna) Wagner and Charles "Bud" (Betty) Wagner; six sisters, Mary Jane (Bill) Kelly, Lucille (Stony) Samick, Lorraine (Mickey) McMackin, Betty (Hoop) Dicello, Shirley (Tony) Niedzwecki, and Barbara (Ray) Gradl; and a great-grandchild, R.E.L. Mack. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, at DUSTER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 347 East 10th Ave., Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Christian Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights, with Fr. Christopher Mannerino, of St. Luke the Evangelist Church, Sewickley, officiating. Private family interment will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to one or all of the following organizations: Community Library of Allegheny Valley, the Allegheny Valley food bank, or any organization that provides meals for the elderly or those in need.
