Rita Mosovsky Obituary

Rita Mosovsky, 64, of Brackenridge, peacefully went home to Heavenly Glory on Sept. 8, 2025. She was born Sept. 13, 1960, to the late Chester and Pauline Rusiewicz. She was preceded in death by her older siblings, Paul, Rosanne, and Jean Rusiewicz, and is survived by her younger brother, William "Bill" Rusiewicz. She married Alan Mosovsky, and they had three wonderful children together: Justin, Jaron, and Janelle. She loved her pet dogs, Zosia, Ludwig, and Beasley. She was a 1978 graduate of Highlands High School and a 1983 graduate of CCAC Allegheny campus with a degree in English/Communications. There, she did promotional work for campus events and wrote articles in the campus newspaper. She was a certified insurance agent but was most notably a student aide at Highlands School District, where she retired in 2017. In her free time, she coached girls' softball for NHBSA, judged speech and debate tournaments for St. Joseph High School, and was certified in CCD instruction and youth ministry. She was an avid baseball and fastpitch softball fan. She spent a summer in the Schenley softball league with the women's Tornados. She was a lifelong Catholic and loved the faith with devotions to the Divine Mercy, the Eucharist, and the Souls of the Departed.
