Ruth Lewis Obituary

Ruth A. Lewis, 74, of North Huntingdon, now residing in Greensburg, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2025, at Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. She was born Oct. 20, 1950, in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary Kelly Steele. Ruth was a graduate of Norwin High School, Class of 1968. She was a member of the Circleville Firehall Ladies Auxiliary and a 50-year member of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed bingo and word searches and was known as the "library lady" at Stewartsville School. Her most special time was time spent with her son. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Charles Lewis; and one sister, Kathy Steele. She is survived by her beloved son, Ben Lewis, and his fiancee, Kelly Donohue. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 11, 2025, at JAMES W. SHIRLEY FUNERAL HOME, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon. Interment will be private in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the White Oak Animal Safe Haven or The Special Olympics. www.shirleyfuneralhome.com.

I have known Ruth Anne for many years. We had a lot of good times together. I watched her son grow up. He turned out to be a great man. My sympathy goes out to Ben and Kelly. She will be greatly missed. Love Marie
