Shirley E. Huffman Parker, 86, of Mt, Pleasant, died Monday, Nov. 22, 2021, in Elizabeth Seton Memory Care, Greensburg. She was born June 3, 1935, in Wooddale, a daughter of the late Stanton and Mary Beal Basinger. Shirley was a member of the Paradise United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women, the choir and Faithful Friends Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church of Erie, where she was a member of the Prime Generation and the Westminster Circle. Shirley was a graduate of the former Ramsay High School with the Class of 1953 and the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy. She was the owner and operator of Shirley's Beauty Shop in Mt. Pleasant for 37 years prior to her retirement. In addition to her family and friends, she enjoyed lighthouses, traveling and camping. Shirley is survived by her husband, James E. Parker, of Erie; her children, Edward and Wendy Huffman, of Scottdale, Ted and Susi Huffman, of Scottdale, Debbie and Denny Durstine, of Mt. Pleasant, Cheryl and Mike Hrycko, of Mt. Pleasant, Vicki and Mark Felgar, of New Stanton, Bernard and Brenda Parker, of Erie and Thomas and Debbie Parker, of Cincinnati, Ohio; her grandchildren, Eddie and Gina Huffman, Katie and Sean Perbonish, Eric and Tara Huffman, Danielle and Brandon Hamrock, Heidi and Chuck Murphy, Amy Kowalewski, Ryan and Shay Kovacs, Michael Durstine, Adam and Kayla Parker, Brad Parker and Megan, Irene and Joseph Parker; her great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Trent, Jace, Natalee and Bria Huffman, Dominic Maroney, Travis and Hudson Hamrock and Hope Kowalewski; her brothers, Kenneth and Dolores Basinger and Dale and Jeanie Basinger; her sisters, Leanna Boring and Norma Miller; sisters-in-law, Marion Basinger, Sara Parker and Julie Parker; brothers-in-law, William Hoke and William Saint; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Edward Huffman Jr.; grandson, Denny Durstine; brothers, Donald, James, Jack and Robert Basinger; and sisters, Nancy Hoke and Gloria Chearney. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, 2021, in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 406 E. Washington St., Mt. Pleasant. Additional viewing will take place in the Paradise United Methodist Church from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of funeral services, Saturday, Nov. 27, with the Rev. Terry Guiste and the Rev.
