Wayne Granchai Obituary

Wayne F. Granchai, 82, of Canonsburg, formerly of North Braddock, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025. Beloved husband of Diana (Pulit) Granchai for 61 years. Loving father of Mark Granchai of the State of Washington and Craig Granchai of Canonsburg. Treasured grandfather of his twin granddaughters, Kassie and Kylie Granchai. Dear brother of Louella (the late Gene) Dzuricsko. Uncle of Troy and Tory Dzuricsko. Adored cousin of Carole (Joe) Forno; along with numerous other cousins. Wayne was a 1961 graduate of North Braddock Scott High School. He was a former employee of the Westinghouse plant in East Pittsburgh. Wayne was an avid bowler and a member of bowling leagues that played at the New Great Valley Lanes in North Versailles. But most of all, golf was Wayne's passion. He traveled to countless golf courses throughout western Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio. Friends are welcome from 2 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025, at PATRICK T. LANIGAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY INC., Turtle Creek/Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek (412-823-9350). Mass of Christian Burial held on Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, in St. Bernadette Church of Christ the Divine Shepherd Parish. (Time to be announced). Wayne will be laid to rest in Braddock Catholic Cemetery.
