William M. Wargo, of North Huntingdon, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022, at UPMC East, Monroeville. Bill was born May 2, 1936, in Smith Township, a son of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Semich) Wargo. Bill was retired from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board. He was a Cold War veteran and retired from the Navy Reserves. Bill was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, Irwin. He was a life member of VFW Post No. 781, North Huntingdon. Bill is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marlene (Krause) Wargo; a son, William S. Wargo and his wife, Renee, of Greensburg; two granddaughters, Bailey and Jodi, of Cheswick; three brothers, John (Sheila), of Old Bridge N.J., Robert (Sally), of Warren Center. George (Vicki), of Endicott, N.Y. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. Services are private to the family. Arrangements were made by PATRICK T. LANIGAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Linden Ave. at Cable Avenue, East Pittsburgh, PA 15112, 412-824-8800. Bill will be laid to rest at Braddock Catholic Cemetery.
