Brenda Miller Obituary

Brenda Lee Miller, 61, of Harrison Township, passed away Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh, after being ill the past six months. She was born Dec. 18, 1963, in Harrison Twp. to the late Robert J. and Patricia (Vorpe) Van Tassell Sr. Brenda lived most of her life in the Harrison Township area. She was an assembler at Bayer Pharmaceutical, Saxonburg. Brenda was of the Methodist faith and a 1981 graduate of Highlands High School. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughter, Shannon L. (Robert J.) Cataldi, of Robinson Township; and two grandsons, David M. and Joseph J. Cataldi. Also surviving are her siblings, Sara Jane (Gary) Bogan, of Russellton; Delbert Van Tassell, of Natrona Heights; and Michael Van Tassell and Patricia Davidek, both of Tarentum. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Katrina Smith, Robert J. Van Tassell Jr., William Van Tassell, and David Van Tassell. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025, at DUSTER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 347 E 10th Ave., 724-224-1526, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025, with Rev.
