Constance L. Brinsko, 86, of Allegheny Township, died Monday, Nov. 22, 2021, in her home. She was born Jan. 27, 1935, in Tarentum, to the late Vincent Nowikowski and Sophia Szamborski Simpson and has been a resident of Allegheny Township for the past 65 years. Mrs. Brinsko was a very active member of St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, Lower Burrell, where she was a lecturer, choir member and longtime CCD teacher. She was also a member of the Lower Burrell American Legion Post 868 Ladies Auxiliary. She worked as a licensed practical nurse for several hospitals and doctors' offices. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, puzzles, fishing, camping, arcade games, her dog Rex, traveling and always made sure she attended all her children's events while they were growing up. She is survived by her adoring children, Diane Brinsko, of Pittsburgh, Sharon Brinsko, of Folsom, Calif., David (Candace) Brinsko, of Reno, Nev., Lisa (Brian) Sibelius, of Apollo Beach, Fla., and Timothy Brinsko (Aimee Kelly), of Allegheny Township; grandchildren, Brandon Lukas Foxx and Arianna Handzlik; and sister, Sophia Kish, of Natrona Heights. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Paul Brinsko, June 21, 2021, daughter, Lori A. Brinsko Handzlik, grandson, Robert William Handzlik, and three sisters, Marlene Moore, Bernice Smith and Lenore Kocon. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road at Alder St., where prayers of transfer will be said at 11:30 a.m. Monday followed by Christian funeral Mass at noon in St. Margaret Mary Church.
