Dawn Lynn York, 59, of New Kensington, passed away Monday, Jan. 10, 2022, in her home. She was the widow of Kenneth Dwight York. Dawn was born June 9, 1962, in New Kensington, to James and Virginia Ann (Grazier) Stone. She lived a dynamic life and was filled with a fierce protectiveness and love for her children and grandchildren. Dawn found joy and success in gardening and caring for animals. A drab yard could flourish with her care and be home to an array of wildlife. Dawn is survived by her children, Ericha L. Can and Kenneth D. York; grandchildren, Madison and Sydney; and her brothers, James, Lee and Brett Stone. As per Dawn's wishes, all services were private and entrusted to the JOSEPH J. CARDARO FUNERAL HOME, 724-337-3325.

Dawn certainly had no problem speaking her mind and she treated people with the same respect that was given her. I've known Dawn since childhood and worked for Kenny's auto repair. Loved them both and will always remember them.
